Hi Samarth,
First I came across your Shree-Raga. Its one of my (and my late father’s) favourite Raga and I practice it on violin. I liked it and hence went on Google to find more about you. And understood you being Shishya of Pt.Ulhas Kashalkar. I learn from Pt.Madhukar Joshi(Dombivli), son of Late Pt. Gajanrao Joshi.
Also I read your article on Slumdog Millionare. And thanks for putting all this on web. Yes, I also had the similar feeling. First its portraying very bad image of India. And its from person outside India. And it gets global award. I cam across one situation where one (non-Indian) person was looking for this movie in USA-library and it went to disussion with other of his friends. What picture he will have after watching this movie?
Also I don’t like movies which shows or focus more on issues or it highlights issues and call it as “Art Film” to sell their product.
Some positive, I also like A.R.Rahman and I am happy that he received an award.
Anyway, I will end here and hope you get this. ANd once again Raag-Shree is excellent..
